Richard Hawley played a series of homecoming gigs over four days at the Leadmill in the week of August 8 – 11, 2022; his contribution to the effort to save the iconic music venue from eviction. The Leadmill is a much-loved and important venue and a cornerstone of Sheffield music history.

Over four nights, Richard played a magical career-spanning setlist, and each night he introduced a special guest on stage to sing with him and his band. On the night we attended, local Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem) sang on two show-stopping performances – Fever, and These Boots are made for Walkin’ – incredible!

This was one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to and the set was even more special played in a venue that means so much to Richard, and so many others.
